What is staging area?
Staging area (also called Index): An intermediate zone where you choose which modified files or pieces of them go into the next commit. It lets you group related changes into one snapshot instead of saving every edit together.
Staging area: an example
git add clean.py stages one file; running git commit afterwards records only that file.
