What is superuser?
Superuser (also called Root user): The all-powerful administrative account on Unix-like systems, called root, which can read, change or delete any file and manage all processes. Working as this account is risky, so people use it only briefly for administrative tasks.
Superuser: an example
Installing a system-wide package needs superuser rights, whereas editing your own notes does not.
