What is terminal?
Terminal (also called Terminal emulator): A window application that displays a text session and passes your keystrokes to a shell. It is only the display and keyboard layer; the shell inside does the real work. Editors such as VS Code embed one so you can run commands next to your code.
Terminal: an example
Opening the integrated terminal in VS Code with Ctrl+` to run python train.py.
