What is working tree?
Working tree (also called Working directory (Git)): The actual files and folders you see and edit on disk, corresponding to the checked-out version plus any uncommitted changes. Git compares it with the staging area and the last commit to report what has changed.
Working tree: an example
After editing app.py, git status lists it as modified in the working tree but not yet staged.
