What is bash?
Bash: The Bourne Again Shell, the default shell on most Linux servers and the one most tutorials assume. It supports pipes, variables, loops, functions and scripts, so a series of manual steps can be saved in a file and repeated exactly.
Bash: an example
A Bash loop: for f in *.csv; do wc -l $f; done counts the lines in every CSV file in the folder.
