What is xargs?
xargs: A command that reads items from its input and passes them as arguments to another command, splitting them into batches when the list is long. It bridges tools that print lists and tools that expect arguments.
xargs: an example
find . -name '*.tmp' | xargs rm deletes every temporary file that find lists.
