What is git?
Git: The most widely used distributed version control system. Every developer holds a full copy of a project's history locally, so most operations work offline and are fast. Git stores snapshots of files and supports cheap branching and merging.
Git: an example
git init in a folder starts tracking it, and git log shows its history.
