What is LFS (Git LFS)?
Git LFS (also called LFS): Git Large File Storage, an extension that keeps big binary files such as datasets or model weights outside the normal repository, storing small pointer files in Git instead. It keeps clones fast, though hosting limits still apply.
Git LFS: an example
git lfs track '*.bin' makes Git store model weight files through LFS instead of directly.
