What is probability distribution?
Probability distribution: A description of all the values a random variable can take together with how likely each is, either as a table, a formula or a curve. It summarises the whole pattern of uncertainty and is the object models are fitted to.
Probability distribution: an example
For one die, each of the values 1 to 6 has probability 1/6. Daily sales might follow a bell-shaped distribution around 500 units.
