What is sample?
Sample: A subset of a population that is actually observed, used to learn about the whole. Its usefulness depends on how it was chosen; a well-chosen random sample tends to mirror the population.

Surveying 500 randomly chosen customers out of 2 lakh to learn about satisfaction.
