What is sampling without replacement?
Sampling without replacement: Drawing items so that each one, once chosen, is not returned, so no item appears twice. Draws are dependent, but when the sample is small relative to the population the difference from replacement is negligible.
Sampling without replacement: an example
Dealing 5 cards from a deck: each card taken changes the mix left in the deck.
