What is sampling with replacement?
Sampling with replacement: Drawing items one at a time and returning each to the pool before the next draw, so the same item can be chosen again and draws are independent. It is the basis of bootstrap resampling.
Sampling with replacement: an example
Picking 5 names from a hat, putting each back after reading it, so a name may appear twice.
