What is model registry?
Model registry: A central catalogue of trained model versions with their metadata, metrics, lineage and lifecycle stage such as staging or production. It gives teams one controlled place to review, approve, promote and roll back models.
Model registry: an example
Version 7 of a churn model is marked "staging" after tests, and a reviewer promotes it to "production" with one approval.
