What is docker registry?
Docker registry: A server that stores and distributes container images, identified by name and tag. Teams push images after a build and pull them at deployment time. It can be public, such as Docker Hub, or private and run by a cloud provider or the company itself.
Docker registry: an example
CI pushes `registry.example.in/ml/churn-api:2.3.1`, and the production cluster pulls that exact tag when deploying.
