What is deployment pipeline?
Deployment pipeline: The automated sequence that moves a release from build through testing environments to production, with checks and approvals at each step. It makes releases repeatable, auditable and less dependent on individual engineers' manual steps.
Deployment pipeline: an example
A change flows from build to staging, passes smoke tests, waits for approval, then rolls out to production in stages.
