What is lp norm?
Lp norm (also called p-norm): A family of vector sizes defined as the sum of absolute components each raised to the power p, then taking the p-th root, for p at least 1. Setting p to 1 gives the sum of absolute values and p to 2 gives ordinary length; larger p emphasises the biggest components.
Lp norm: an example
With p = 3 and v = [1, 2], the norm is (1^3 + 2^3)^(1/3) = 9^(1/3), about 2.08.
