What is GAN (generative adversarial network)?

Generative adversarial network (also called GAN): A generative model made of two networks trained against each other: a generator that fabricates samples and a discriminator that tries to tell them from real data. As each improves, the generator learns to produce outputs the discriminator can no longer separate from real ones.
