What is inpainting?
Inpainting: Filling in a masked region of an image so that the new content blends with its surroundings, optionally guided by a text prompt. It is used to remove objects, repair damage or change part of a picture while keeping the rest untouched.
Inpainting: an example
A shopkeeper masks a stray signboard in a street photo and the model fills the gap with brick wall that matches the lighting.
