What is single-stage detector?
Single-stage detector (also called One-stage detector): A detector that predicts class scores and boxes directly from the feature map in one pass, without a separate proposal step. It is generally faster and suits real-time use. It is faster because there is no separate second pass per candidate.

SSD and YOLO are single-stage detectors that can run on live video.
