What is two-stage detector?
Two-stage detector: A detector that first proposes candidate regions and then classifies and refines each one. This usually gives higher accuracy but slower speed than single-stage designs. The second stage sees a cropped, focused view of each candidate, which helps precision.
Two-stage detector: an example
Faster R-CNN is a two-stage detector; YOLO is single-stage.
