What is YOLO?
YOLO: You Only Look Once, a family of single-stage detectors that treat detection as one prediction step over a grid on the image, giving fast, real-time detection. Many versions from different authors exist, so behaviour varies by version.
YOLO: an example
A YOLO model on a CCTV stream can label vehicles frame by frame fast enough for live monitoring.
