What is identity matrix?
Identity matrix (also called Unit matrix): A square matrix with ones on the main diagonal and zeros elsewhere. Multiplying any compatible matrix or vector by it leaves that object unchanged, so it plays the role that the number 1 plays in ordinary multiplication.
Identity matrix: an example
For I = [[1,0],[0,1]] and v = [7, 9], I v = [7, 9].
