What is revert?
Revert (also called git revert): Undoing a commit by creating a new commit that applies the opposite changes. Unlike reset it leaves history intact, so it is the safe way to undo something already shared with others.
Revert: an example
git revert a1b2c3d adds a commit that cancels the changes of a1b2c3d.
