What is scatter plot?
Scatter plot: A chart that draws each observation as a dot positioned by two numeric values, one on each axis. It reveals relationships, clusters and outliers between two variables, and colour or size can encode a third and fourth variable.
Scatter plot: an example
Plotting each flat's area against its rent for 500 flats in Bengaluru shows that rent rises with area, with a few expensive outliers.
