What is rolling update?
Rolling update: A release strategy that replaces old copies of a service with new ones a few at a time, keeping enough healthy instances serving requests throughout. It avoids downtime and can be paused or reversed if the new version misbehaves.
Rolling update: an example
A deployment with 10 pods updates 2 at a time, so at least 8 keep serving users until all run the new image.
