What is smoke test?
Smoke test: A quick, shallow set of checks run right after a deployment to confirm the main functions work, such as the service starting and answering one basic request. If it fails, the release is stopped or rolled back before deeper testing.
Smoke test: an example
After deploying a model API, a script sends one sample request and expects a valid prediction within 2 seconds.
