What is security group?
Security group: A virtual firewall in a cloud network that controls which traffic may reach a resource, by protocol, port and source. Rules default to denying everything and allow only what is listed, so opening ports narrowly limits exposure.
Security group: an example
A rule allows port 443 from anywhere and port 5432 only from the application servers.
