What is IAM (identity and access management)?
Identity and access management (also called IAM): The system a cloud or organisation uses to decide who or what is permitted to do which actions on which resources. It defines users, roles and policies, and its central rule is least privilege: grant only the access needed.
Identity and access management: an example
A policy lets a training job read one bucket and write to another, but nothing else in the account.
