What is tensor?
Tensor: A general array of numbers with any number of axes: a scalar has zero axes, a vector one, a matrix two, and higher-order arrays three or more. Deep learning frameworks store inputs, weights and activations as tensors so operations can run in bulk on GPUs.
Tensor: an example
A batch of 32 colour images of 224 x 224 pixels is a tensor of shape (32, 3, 224, 224).
