What is watermarking generated content?
Watermarking generated content: Embedding a hidden but detectable signal in AI-generated images, audio or text so the origin can later be verified. Watermarks can survive some edits, but crops, re-encoding and adversarial changes can weaken them.
Watermarking generated content: an example
An image generator adds an invisible pattern to every output, and a detector later flags a downloaded picture as machine-made.
