What is RR (reciprocal rank)?
Reciprocal rank (also called RR): For a single ranked result list, one divided by the position of the first relevant item. It rewards putting a correct answer near the top and ignores everything after the first hit. It is used for question answering and lookup-style search.
Reciprocal rank: an example
If the first correct document appears at rank 4, the reciprocal rank is 1/4 = 0.25.
