What is RMSLE (root mean squared logarithmic error)?
Root mean squared logarithmic error (also called RMSLE): The square root of the mean squared logarithmic error. It reports relative error on a scale comparable to percentage difference and is popular in demand and price forecasting competitions where the target ranges widely and under-prediction should not be ignored.
Root mean squared logarithmic error: an example
If MSLE is 0.09, RMSLE = 0.3, meaning predictions are typically off by a factor of about e^0.3, or 1.35.
