What is event sourcing?
Event sourcing: A design where every change to a system's state is stored as an immutable event in order, and the current state is obtained by replaying those events. It gives a full audit trail and the ability to rebuild state at any moment.

A bank account is stored as deposits and withdrawals; the balance is computed by summing them.
