What is Delta Lake?
Delta Lake: An open table format that adds a transaction log over Parquet files in a lake, giving atomic writes, schema enforcement, updates and deletes, and the ability to view earlier versions. It underpins many lakehouse setups.
Delta Lake: an example
A MERGE command updates 5,000 customer rows in a lake table safely, and a failed job leaves the table unchanged.
