What is ELT?
ELT (also called Extract, Load, Transform): A variation on classic integration where raw data is copied into the target platform first and reshaped there afterwards using the platform's own compute, usually SQL. It suits cloud warehouses with cheap storage and scalable processing, and keeps the raw copy for reprocessing.
ELT: an example
Raw Razorpay payment events land in BigQuery untouched; a scheduled SQL model then builds a cleaned payments table from them.
