What is data mesh?
Data mesh: An organisational and architectural approach where data is owned by the business domains that produce it, each publishing well-documented data products, supported by a shared self-serve platform and common governance rules. It counters bottlenecks of one central data team.
Data mesh: an example
The payments team owns and publishes a payments dataset with defined quality guarantees, and the risk team consumes it through the shared platform.
