What is data modelling?
Data modelling (also called Dimensional modelling): Designing how data is structured and related in a system, at conceptual, logical and physical levels. In analytics it includes choosing tables, keys and relationships so that data is consistent and easy to query.
Data modelling: an example
A team decides that customers, orders and products become separate tables linked by keys, with a date dimension for reports.
