What is data vault?
Data vault: A warehouse modelling method that separates business keys (hubs), relationships between them (links) and descriptive history (satellites). It is built for auditability, easy addition of new sources and loading tables in parallel.
Data vault: an example
A customer hub holds only customer IDs, and each source system's attributes go into its own satellite table with load dates.
