What is image histogram?
Image histogram: A count of how many pixels take each brightness value, plotted as a bar chart. It reveals whether an image is too dark, too bright or low in contrast and guides adjustments like equalisation.
Image histogram: an example
A dark photo has most of its histogram bars bunched near 0 to 60 out of a 0 to 255 range.
