What is document layout analysis?
Document layout analysis: Identifying the structure of a page image, such as titles, paragraphs, tables, figures and columns, and the reading order. It lets OCR output be organised rather than a flat block of text.
Document layout analysis: an example
Analysis of a bank statement separates the header, the transaction table and the footer notes.
