What is privacy by design?
Privacy by design (also called data protection by design): An approach in which privacy protections are built into a system from the start, through choices such as minimal collection, encryption, access controls and default-private settings, rather than added after launch. The GDPR makes a form of it a legal expectation.
Privacy by design: an example
