What is REST?
REST (also called Representational State Transfer): Representational State Transfer is an architectural style for web APIs in which everything is a resource identified by a URL, and standard HTTP methods act on it. Requests are stateless, meaning each one carries all the information the server needs. The style keeps APIs predictable and easy to scale.
REST: an example
GET /students/42 reads student 42, DELETE /students/42 removes that student, and neither call depends on earlier calls.

Where you learn it
REST is part of the AI Engineering Program, which teaches it with notes, a hands-on lab and an exam. The first lesson is free.
