What is retry?
Retry: Sending a failed request again, in the hope that a temporary fault has cleared. Sensible clients retry only transient errors such as timeouts, 429 or 5xx, limit the attempts and wait between them.
Retry: an example
A script retries a call up to 3 times when it receives 503 but never retries a 400.
