What is curiosity-driven exploration?
Curiosity-driven exploration: An exploration approach in which the learner receives a bonus equal to how badly it predicted the consequences of its own action. Surprising outcomes are rewarded, pushing it to explore parts of the world it does not yet understand.
Curiosity-driven exploration: an example
An intrinsic reward equals the squared error between the predicted and actual next-frame features.
