What is c order?
C order (also called row-major order, Fortran order): Row-major memory layout, the NumPy default, in which the elements of each row sit next to each other in memory and the last index changes fastest. Its counterpart, Fortran order, stores columns contiguously. Layout affects iteration speed and how reshape and ravel read elements.
C order: an example
In a C-ordered 2 by 3 array, the memory order is row 0 values first, then row 1 values.
