What is morphology?
Morphology: The study of how words are built from smaller meaningful parts such as roots, prefixes and suffixes. In NLP it guides splitting and analysing words, and it matters most in languages where a single word can carry the meaning of a whole English phrase.
Morphology: an example
"unhelpfulness" contains the prefix un-, root help, and suffixes -ful and -ness.
