What is multilingual embedding?
Multilingual embedding (also called Cross-lingual embedding): An embedding model trained so that texts with the same meaning in different languages have nearby vectors. It allows searching or comparing across languages without translating first, and it lets one system serve users writing in many languages.
Multilingual embedding: an example
A Hindi query "मौसम कैसा है" retrieves an English page titled "Weather forecast".
