What is agglutinative language?
Agglutinative language: A language that forms long words by attaching many suffixes in a row, each carrying one meaning. This produces huge numbers of word forms, so word-level vocabularies fail and subword methods work much better. Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Turkish are examples.
Agglutinative language: an example
A single Telugu word can combine a root with tense, person and case endings, so listing every form as its own vocabulary entry is impractical.
