What is BIO tagging?
BIO tagging (also called IOB tagging, BIO scheme): A labelling format for marking spans in text: B marks the Beginning of an entity, I marks tokens Inside it and O marks tokens Outside any entity. It lets a per-token classifier represent multi-word entities and their boundaries.
BIO tagging: an example
"State Bank of India" is tagged B-ORG I-ORG I-ORG I-ORG, and other words get O.
