What is variance threshold?
Variance threshold (also called VarianceThreshold): A simple filter method that drops features whose variance is below a chosen cutoff, since a column that barely changes across rows carries little information for prediction. A constant column has zero variance.
Variance threshold: an example
A column where 99.9 percent of rows are 'India' has almost no variance and gets removed.
